Welcome to the message boards for Meridian Shadow Motion (meridian SM, or ShadowMotion). Each board has information as to what it's about if you are confused. The Character submission process is outlined in vague terms as a header at it's respected message board. For now alot will be on the message boards in regards to characters and submitting them and how everything will work as far as players and characters. Everyone pretty much knows the normal meridian affiliates, the only thing different are the supernatural affiliates which will be discussed on an informative website which is under construction.
There is a longer informative intro about Meridian Shadow Motion with concept and why it's going to exist as a running parallel RP underneith the message boards.
(Shadow Motion is a parallel meridian world. A world where dark, gothic, supernatural. Blood, gore, rampage, death, might and magic are all things not uncommon. This RP is for players who might want to give old meridian chars a revamp, a new edge. Parallel your character and give them a supernatural flare, engage them in dark things and lives in the shadows. Play the other side of the mirror
ps. This is no way changes the old character in the actual meridian RPs. For the most part, it's free for all, like Meridian high, MSU, future Meridian, etc. There is no present and future division, mix and match. Usual common sense rules apply-be realistic-DONT OVER DO IT-think opposites. And remember, be selective with who you want to parallel, don't simply parallel everycharacter, be creative, dream darkly. Obviously present and future have to work, you cant have a future character if something that created the character to be in the future is being played? you know what i mean?)

The world encounters a many strange thing. People live and experience things of their control, outside their control, and ripples unnoticed. On sunsets still when the air seems void of scent, current, motion, light speed dreams pass by. The moon eclipses an evening draws those select few, emotionally bruised, physically worn, mentally defused, by light speed dreams which crack the eclipse and pull through it's shadow.
The Shadow Motion...
Our world sees dreams that come of morbid vision, dark streets and gothic lives. Un natural creature, being and possession.
**Their world sees dreams that come of bright burning fires, whites and clear waters. Of clean structure, life and culture...positive peace.
We see the dream passes it off as nothing, a dark grim tale from the minds sleep and we awak to another day where hollywood turns our dreams into movies and authors write their fictional novels. .
**They have their life which stores the dream of what they saw. One of hope, clarity, and life. The possibility of something without darkness, they dream and embeds it within, buried, and awaken, and readies for another day of our hollywood night.
Two people, yet one in the same. When the moon cracks and the shadows pull, it's then when both minds see through the mirror. Experience themselves through a dream, and for one moment in their lives the goose bumps and the shiver up their spine are real.
Shadow Motion is really no different as compared to the normal meridian, no one really knows what potential the city has as far as areas of interest, or if it has more than MSU (or rather UofM considering meridian isn't a state) or MCC, MHS, HHS, TRPS, or the Triple Play Diner and what else might have been lost in the cracks. But as the website gets going and it's pieces fall into place many a city development will fall into place. It's massive transit system, hot spots, tourist attractions, cultural buildings/institutions, and city districts. Meridian will actually be a city rather then a basic backdrop which our ever so lively, pumped up, richly developed characters have played. Not to say we'll have meridian become more then the characters which will play there, infact we'd rather it be that the city, like every city, develop out of it's characters and that the characters develop out of their environment.
Why do this to a new 'meridian' and not the old? frankly myself 'Alex, Alexander, Xander' and a few large amount of others want more, want imaginative, want richness in the environment that everyone is informed of and knows. Not just the little places that get created when cliques form, or little places that our own little RP sessions might think of for interests sake. Not much of them really stay inexistance except for the basics which have formed. Im in no way saying the old is bad, or that what we've had is bad, im sure alot will still (obviously) be played in normal meridian, but me myself, my moderators (roleplay engineers, architects, and storytellers lets say) will be creating this Shadow Motion Meridian. Why not make a new city completely? well...orignally it was a way for lost characters to give a new edge, or boring characters to be revitalized. A darker city, one where supernaturals were in existance, where the law and the government and religion took note and that supernaturals existed...I guess i'd rather have characters that have been forgotten, or characters that have been worn out so eventually both the shadow motion and the orignally meridian might be one? who knows. But for now i think Meridian and the Shadow Motion need to be on seperate, yet similar parallel worlds.
The Meridian Shadow Motion was a concept under development and played in a most miniscule amount months ago. It is finally being brought back into existance and being played and fine tuned to what could hopefully be something interesting and something that everyone will find an interest in. Gotham city, Metroloplis, Anne Rices and Laurel K Hamiltons shadows, White wolf's world of darkness and Hollywoods supernaturals all into one major melting pot. LMAO we'll see what we can do. But it depends on everyone and the reception it recieves.
The message boards will be all for now...and for the ideas you might have, now might be the best time while things are still undercontrol, for those creative prices of fruit to turn into well...Fruit trees? in the begining. We'll see what we can run with. Myself and my moderators will do our best, and hopefully i'll have picked them as the best resources i've got.
Oh yeah. This is free style, and system, and not fighting at all. It's what you want and are capable of, you will only interact as a player with people who can play with you. If they play system, perhaps they'll pass it up to do freestyle for you, i'd hope they do it for me because i only know white wolfs books as information not a system for playing because battling isn't what this is role play is about LOL. Im joking. (for those that are worried about it LOL) But play with who you can play with and play to help everyone, really, it's a comunity and the more we function together and are able to lower our clique and superiority complexes we might actually be able to find good play on a lighter level. My goals are for Story and City and Imagination. I'll be throwing everyone at you from the weather, to economic developments, to fallen angels, to gang wars.
